“i☆Ris 13th Anniversary Live -TITLE MATCH-“, a live performance commemorating the 13th anniversary of the debut of the voice actor and idol hybrid unit i☆Ris, was held at Pia Arena MM on Saturday, November 15th. For i☆Ris, this arena performance is a repeat challenge following last year. Bearing in mind the frustration of not being able to fill the audience seats last time, we have worked tirelessly over the past year while deepening our ties with fans.
On the day of the performance, which marked the 13th anniversary of their debut, the venue was filled with more fans than last year, marking the highest number of attendees in the history of i☆Ris' live performances.The live title, “-TITLE MATCH-,” reflects the members' strong determination to have their fans “participate” in the live performance, as well as the battle between the fans and i☆Ris, the battle between the members, and the battle against themselves. This performance, which could be said to be a challenge from i☆Ris to the fans, was a stage filled with excitement.
This time's live performance was such that you could get a closer look at i☆Ris, and the five members of i☆Ris appeared from the stage surrounded by the audience at the opening. The voltage at the venue suddenly skyrocketed due to the unprecedented closeness to the fans! The song that came out was “Platonic,” an up-tempo number that incorporates rap into a rock taste that gives you the feeling of a “beginning” that is appropriate for “TITLE MATCH.” This was followed by “Spending,” “Arienho Fever,” “Dream Parade,” “5STAR☆ (tentative),” and “Make it!,” as if they were about to fold in. It was a spectacular beginning, with no MC at all and a non-stop singing and dancing performance that graced the stage.
After the venue was filled with excitement with their singing and dancing performance, they began a project befitting the live title “-TITLE MATCH-“. A solo battle was held between “Saki Yamakita'', “Miyu Kubota'', “Yu Serizawa'', “Hikaka Akaneya'', and “Yuki Wakai'', and the performance was reminiscent of a heated battle similar to that of “-TITLE MATCH-'', and the audience cheered loudly at the powerful performance in which each member's individuality and singing ability collided on stage. Each i☆Ris member and fan came together to engage in a shouting battle involving the audience, team “Saki Yamakita, Miyu Kubota'' vs. team “Yu Serizawa, Himika Akaneya, Yuki Wakai,'' creating a sense of unity that can only be felt at a live performance.
In addition, the set list, which has been carefully prepared for this day, includes standard songs that symbolize i☆Ris, such as “make it,” “heartbeat soaring,” “Appare! Bakusou,” “Color,” “Happy New World☆,” and “Ultimate☆MAGIC.” They captivated fans with their singing and performances that showed different colors for each song!
Leader Yamakita reflected on her 13 years of activities, saying, “It hasn't always been smooth sailing.When I debuted, I never thought I'd be able to continue being an idol 13 years later, wearing frilly costumes and being surrounded by so many people. Thank you very much to each and every one of you!'', he said as he expressed his gratitude to the audience, recalling the memory of singing live without an audience, and savoring the joy of being able to sing while surrounded by so many wonderful fans.
After the venue was filled with a warm atmosphere with songs such as “Ayatsunagi'', “Kibou no Hana wo'', and “Kiseki no Filament'' that sang about bonds with fans, the atmosphere at the venue completely changed. “Romantic Showdown,” which is a coupling song to “Yume e no Hitokakera” to be released on November 19th and an insert song for the TV anime pachinko machine “Kakegurui,” overwhelmed fans with its unique metal sound that had never been seen before in i☆Ris.The dark worldview of the song ended with Yu Serizawa's loud laughter, showing off a new side of i☆Ris!
Yamakita said, “Some fans on the internet said things like, “It's innovative!! It's new!'' What do you all think about Romantic Showdown? ” In response to the question, fans shouted “I love you!!” to the members, and the members smiled with relief.
The last song to conclude the live was the popular song “Realize!”, which is an essential part of i☆Ris' songs, and i☆Ris and the fans came together as one to bring the live to a close.
The enthusiasm of the fans did not subside, and while the venue was filled with loud cheers for the encore, handwritten messages to the fans containing the members' thoughts were played as a video before the encore, and warm applause erupted from the audience seats.
In an emotional atmosphere, i☆Ris changed into a T-shirt in their image color and reappeared on stage. The first encore song was “Ai for you!”, written by i☆Ris, who symbolizes their 10th year as a member, and expresses their feelings toward their fans. When the song started, Yuki Wakai was filled with feelings for her fans from the beginning, and sang the song until the end, even with tears welling up in her eyes. Next, the latest song was performed! “Yume e no Hitokakera” will be released on November 19th and will be used as the ending theme song for the TV anime “The Mourning Ghost Wants to Retire.” The performance of this song, which could only be heard in the MV, captivated fans with its thoughtful singing and dancing that encouraged those chasing their dreams.
