The talent agency Haikyo announced that the voice actor Fumiyoshi Shioya temporarily reduce his professional activities. According to the statement, the seiyuu is “exhausted” after being the subject of defamation and false rumors on social networks such as X (formerly Twitter) and online forums.
Haikyō noted that he is consulting with lawyers and that it will take legal measures against those who have spread false information or harmful comments towards the actor. The agency also warned that it will take strict action if similar posts are repeated in the future.
