The official fanbooks of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End will arrive in Japanese bookstores on December 18. Under the titles The Magic to Understand Frieren & Himmel and The Magic to Understand Fern & Starkeach book will offer new illustrations, interviews with the main cast and abundant production material.
The first volume will focus on Frieren and Himmelretracing their journey to defeat the Demon King through key scenes, iconic quotes, and reflections on their bond. It will feature a special conversation between Atsumi Tanezaki (Frieren) and Nobuhiko Okamoto (Himmel), in addition to comments from Hiroki Touchi and Yoji Ueda. It will also include sketches, storyboards and design documents detailing the duo's creation.
Fern and Stark, protagonists of the second fanbook
The second volume will explore the evolution of Fern and starksince their meeting in Riegel Canyon even his adventures in Äußerst. It will include an exclusive talk between Kana Ichinose and Chiaki Kobayashias well as interviews with Atsumi Tanezaki and the production team. Its contents include key visualsunpublished materials and original storyboards.
Both volumes will have specially illustrated covers and are intended as a celebration of the narrative and emotional universe of Frieren: Beyond Journey's Endone of the most acclaimed works of recent anime.
