Yui Ogura's latest mini album “Labo-Ratory”, whose tour “Love♡Ratory” which started in October is going well, will be released on November 25, 2025!

This time, we talked about not only the mini-album, but also about “Love♡Ratory,” which was only performed at Pacifico Yokohama on November 24th, and about the web radio “#Yuisho! ~ Yui Ogura and Issho!” which has started broadcasting on CBC Radio.

The mini-album “Labo-Ratory”, which is linked to the tour “Love♡Ratory”, has a different approach than usual, like a “chemical reaction”.

–Please tell us the origin and concept of the title of the mini album “Labo-Ratory”.

Yui Ogura (hereinafter referred to as Ogura):The name was created in conjunction with this fall's tour title “Love♡Ratory,'' and it evokes the image of a “laboratory'' or “research institute.'' I sang songs on the album that caused a “chemical reaction” and rearranged some of my early songs, so I think it turned out to be a different and more challenging album than usual.

–Songs that were distributed for three consecutive months from August to October will also be included. The first installment, “Magic♡Happy,'' began distribution on August 15th, Ogura-san's birthday.

Kokura:It was my 30th birthday, so I wanted to make a birthday song that had never been done before. The fact that this song was created by Yamamoto Sho, a “cute song maker,'' was a gift and a memorable moment for me.

This song's A melody is especially stylish, including the score. I think it has a taste that I haven't seen in my songs up until now, and I really like it.

–Did Mr. Ogura place any orders to Mr. Yamamoto?

Kokura:Other than my request, “Could you please compose a birthday song for me?'', it was up to me to do almost everything. It was originally planned to be performed for the first time at my birthday event, “Magical♡Party~Eternal Magic~'', so I think they incorporated a little bit of the event name into it. It's not just a lively and happy song, but it's also a song that expresses the feelings that “I'd be happy if we could share together'' the years we've spent together and the history we've accumulated.

――Even if we say congratulations to each other, it still feels good. Thank you. I'm so happy to be able to see your face again,” and “On that magical day when you were born, we'll be together again.” These are wonderful lyrics.

Kokura:I'm happy when people congratulate me on my birthday, and it's wonderful to be able to say “Happy Birthday” to each other.

–What was the reaction from the audience when you performed it on stage for the first time?

Kokura:When I was singing while looking at everyone's faces, I was able to realize the grand meaning and happiness of the lyrics even more, and I felt a sense of warmth as everyone was listening intently. Even after it was released, I received a lot of feedback saying, “It's a great song,'' and I was happy that it made me feel like “I guess my feelings reached you.''

–The lyric video was also released, and the illustrations are cute.

Kokura:For that illustration, I used the concept art for “Magical♡Party ~Eternal Magic~'' drawn by Wasure Amanharu, and it turned out to be my favorite.
