Yui Ogura mini album “Labo-Ratory” release commemorative interview | Isekai2nd

Re-arranged and re-recorded the 2nd single “Baby Sweet Berry Love”! The new song for the album is a metal rock challenge!

–This time, we have rearranged and recorded your 2nd single “Baby Sweet Berry Love”. What are the differences and highlights from the original version?

Kokura:I included a live clip of “Raise ~Bloomy ver.~'', a rearranged version of my solo debut song, as a bonus video for “Bloomy'' released last year, and when I performed it on tour, it was well received by everyone. Also, in conjunction with the title of this tour, “Love♡Ratory,” we rearranged and re-recorded our second single, “Baby Sweet Berry Love.”

When I listen to the finished product, I can feel that I have grown even more than when I released it as a single, so those who have supported me since my debut may be able to feel the years as well as my changes and growth.

–At the time of this interview, it seems that you are working on another new song. What kind of song is it likely to be?

Kokura:It's a metal sound. The concept of the mini album is “laboratory” and “chemistry”, so I took on a new challenge.

――The idea came from metal…?

Kokura:No, that's not the case (lol). A lot of things came out of various experiments, so I thought I'd try a tune I've never sung before. Please look forward to seeing what my personal style of metal rock will be like.

――Please tell us about the concept behind the jacket and how the shooting process went.

Kokura:The visuals of the tour are colorful and have suspicious colors that are reminiscent of “experiments,” so in order to differentiate ourselves, the mini-album has a subtractive color tone that gives it a simple and innocent feel.

――This was surprising because I have the impression that Ogura-san's single and album jackets tend to be brightly colored.

Kokura:Maybe so. This time, I tried to make it look simple at first glance with the artwork and jacket, but when I listened to it, I realized that the song was a mess, in a good way, so I might have been misleading (lol).

The live tour “Love♡Ratory” has a diverse setlist, many medleys, and the largest number of costumes in history, all of which are beyond standard!

――The live tour “Love♡Ratory” which started on October 19th, only has one performance left at Pacifico Yokohama on November 24th.

Kokura:Looking back, it was a blink of an eye. The setlist is also more chaotic than usual, just like this mini-album, in a good way (lol). There were a lot of surprises, like “What!? This song comes next!?”, and there were a lot of medleys. There were also about 7 costumes, which was the highest number of costumes in my live performance history.

–The last performance of the tour will be held at Pacifico Yokohama, Ogura-san's sacred place for live performances, so it's sure to be a blast.

Kokura:Since it is Chiakiraku, we will deliver a performance to the best of our ability, with the intention of showing you the culmination of the tour. Pacifico Yokohama was the place where I held my first solo live, and it is a venue that has deep feelings for me and everyone else. Let's make new memories here again.

――“#Yuisho! ~ Yui Ogura and Issho!”, which was previously distributed online, will also be broadcast on CBC Radio from October.

Kokura:I'm happy to be broadcast on terrestrial TV, and I hope that this radio will lead to many new encounters with people who don't know me in the Tokai area where CBC Radio is broadcast.

Even if it is broadcast on terrestrial TV, the content of the program will remain the same, so I would like to be able to chat at my own pace and enjoy the programs and corners together with everyone.

–Now that I think about it, it has been decided that the public recording of “Yuisho” will be done.

Kokura:It has been decided that the event will be held on December 20, 2025 at the Science Hall of the Science Museum in Tokyo, and on March 14, 2026 at the CBC Hall in Aichi. I'm glad that terrestrial broadcasting has started and that there will be public recordings right away, and that it will be held in two locations over the course of the year. I hope people who first heard about me through CBC Radio will also join us.

In addition to announcing the public recording, there are other announcements as well (lol). “LisuAni!” will be held on January 31, 2026. It has been decided that he will appear on “LIVE 2026”. In February 2026, my fan club “Yui's＊company.” will hold an event called “General Meeting of Employees.” I'm happy to have the opportunity to meet everyone in person again even after the tour ends.

–Finally, please give a message to everyone.

Kokura:I feel like I've rushed through summer and fall all at once, with music releases starting on my birthday for three consecutive months, a tour starting in October, and a mini-album released on November 25th. This final piece is an experimental piece, and I think it will give you a different sense of me than before.
