KPop Demon Hunters receive five nominations at the 2025 Grammy Awards


The animated film KPop Demon Hunters continues to accumulate international recognition. The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced that the main theme “Golden” has been nominated in five categories for the Grammy Awards 2025including Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for a Visual Medium.

Furthermore, the remix “Golden – David Guetta REM/X” was nominated in the Best Remixed Recording category, while the film's entire soundtrack received a nomination for Best Soundtrack Compilation. The theme “Golden” was released on July 4 as the second single from the official album, following “Takedown.” Later, the remix of David Guetta debuted on July 25, generating millions of views on digital platforms. The film and its soundtrack premiered on June 20, marking an immediate milestone for the streaming service.

Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, KPop Demon Hunters combines urban fantasy, music and action, and features the voices of Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, May Hong, Ken Jeong and Lee Byung-hun. Since its launch, it has become the most watched movie in Netflix historywith more than 300 million views all over the world.

Rumors about a sequel on the way
