During the event Animate Girls Festival 2025 new details of the anime were revealed Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (also known as Hana-Kimi: For You in Full Blossom), including its additional cast, production team, musical themes and a new promotional video. The series will premiere on January 4, 2026 at 9:30 pm (JST) by Tokyo MXand later in BS11, M.B.S., CBCTV and RKB Mainichi Broadcasting.
The voice actor Satoshi Hino (Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan) will join the cast playing Makoto Kagurazaka. Production is in charge of the studio Signal.MD under the direction of Natsuki Takemura (Go! Go! Vehicle Zoo), with Takao Yoshioka (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) in the composition of the series and Shiyi Su (Dragon, Ie wo Kau.) in character design.

The work has already inspired live-action adaptations in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Crunchyroll confirmed that it will broadcast the new animated adaptation globally.
The author Hisaya Nakajo He passed away in October 2023 at age 50 due to a heart condition, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire new generations of readers and viewers.
