During a special broadcast of One Piece Newsit was announced that the second season of the live-action One Piecetitled One Piece: Into the Grand Linewill be released on March 10, 2026 through Netflix. The event presented a new visual of Drum Island and a video in which Iñaki Godoyinterpreter of Monkey D. Luffygave the announcement in both English and Japanese.

The second season of the live-action project will cover the story from Loguetown until Drum Islandincluding the arches of Reverse Mountain, Twin Cape, Whiskey Peak and Little Garden. According to the statement, production began in July 2024 and it has already finished filming.
The creator of the original manga, Eiichiro Odaconfirmed that the story will continue faithful to the events of the original material. The screenwriter and producer Joe Tracz (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) joins as co-showrunner with Matt Owenswho led the first season. The executive producer Steve Maeda also returns, while Owens announced in March that he will retire from the project after concluding this season to focus on his mental health.
Netflix is already planning a third season
The live-action series of One Piece debuted in August 2023 with eight episodes and was produced by Tomorrow Studiosa collaboration between Marty Adelstein (Prison Break, teen wolf) and ITV Studios. The production won awards at the Children's & Family Emmy Awards for “Best Original Song” and “Best Coordination of Action Scenes.” Netflix confirmed that the project will continue with a third season after Into the Grand Line.
