the anime Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeonbased on the light novels written by Shisui Meikyo and illustrated by teffhas revealed that it will be released next October 3 (Japan time), which corresponds to October 2 in Spanish peninsular time (UTC+2). Along with the announcement, a new promotional image was shared and five additions to the voice cast were confirmed.

The direction of the anime is in charge of Katsushi Sakurabiknown for his work on Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion, produced by the studio JCSTAFF. The script is written by Hiroshi Onogi (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood), the character design is in the hands of Yukie Suzuki (TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy-), and the music is composed by Ryo Takahashi (WIND BREAKER). The sound director will be Yoshikazu Iwanami.
A story of betrayal, power and revenge
The plot follows lightwho is betrayed by his former adventure companions and thrown to the bottom of the Abyss, the most lethal dungeon in the world. Barely alive, he resorts to his only magical ability: Unlimited Gacha. What previously only generated garbage, now invokes meian imposing level 9999 warrior dressed as a maid.
Three years later, Light has formed his own kingdom deep in the dungeon, surrounded by loyal elite combatants. Having become an all-powerful lord, he plans to return to the surface to exact revenge against those who betrayed him.
