The artist Kenshi Yonezu collaborate again with Chainsaw Man and will be in charge of performing the main theme of the next film Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. The song, titled “IRIS OUT”not only marks his second musical contribution to the franchise, but will also arrive accompanied by a cover illustrated by Yonezu himself.
This is not the first time that the singer shows his side as an illustrator, and on this occasion he has captured Pray in an image that will be part of the official art of the single. The cover has already been revealed and has generated excitement among fans for its distinctive art style.
Single release and editions
The simple “IRIS OUT” will be launched on September 24 as part of a double A-side album, the second track of which has not yet been announced. In addition to the standard version, there will be released two limited editions inspired by each of the songs on the single.
Film production details
The film will be directed by Tatsuya Yoshiharawho already worked on episodes 4 and 10 of the television anime, and is also known for his work on Black Clover. The script will once again be in the hands of Hiroshi Sekowhile Kazutaka Sugiyama will be in charge of character design. The production team also includes Souta Yamazaki and shun as secondary designers, Sota Shigetsugu as director of action animation and Shoichi as main animator. The design of the demons will be in charge of Riki Matsuura next to Kiyotaka Oshiyamadirector of the film Look Back.
World premiere dates
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will premiere in Japan on September 19. From September 24the film will begin screening internationally, with a premiere scheduled in United States on October 29 thanks to Sony Pictures.
A story of betrayal, death and demons
The story of Chainsaw Man follows a young man who lives in debt and misery, until he is betrayed and murdered. Just before dying, he makes a pact with his faithful demon companion Pochitamerging with him and resurrecting as the feared Chainsaw Manthe man with the heart of a demon.
