The film adaptation of the manga 100 METERS of Uoto will hit Japanese theaters next month. Ahead of its premiere, a new character trailer showing the main runners in history, along with a series of individual posters that highlight the five protagonists.

The voice cast and their characters

The new images feature, from left to right and top to bottom,:

- Komiya – voice of Shota Sometani
- Nigami – voice of Jun Kasama
- Saizu – voice of Koki Uchiyama
- Kaido – voice of Kenjiro Tsuda
Going from manga to the big screen
The original manga was published between November 2018 and August 2019 in the digital magazine Magazine Pocket from Kodansha, compiling a total of five volumes. The film is directed by Kenji Iwaisawa in the studio Rock 'n' Roll Museumwith Keisuke Kojima in charge of character design and animation direction, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi in musical composition.
Upcoming international releases
The distributor GKIDS will take 100 METERS to North American theaters in October. The story follows Togashia track prodigy who wins every 100-meter race effortlessly. In sixth grade he meets Komiyaa transfer student with great determination but little technique. By training him, Togashi gives him a new purpose: win at all costs. Over the years, both meet again as rivals on the track, ready to show who they really are.
