The long-awaited movie Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc surprised fans by announcing that Kenshi Yonezu He will not be alone in his musical return to the franchise. The renowned singer-songwriter will join forces with the iconic Hikaru Utada to perform the final theme titled “JANE DOE”an unprecedented collaboration that promises to mark a memorable moment in anime history.
The announcement came accompanied by a brief teaser which offers a first look at the song, generating great expectations among followers. According to Yonezu, the idea of adding Utada arose organically during the songwriting process. Upon hearing her voice on the track, he described feeling deeply moved, calling the moment a true honor in his career.
For his part, Utada expressed that he did not hesitate to accept the proposal. Although both have distinctive styles, he highlighted that the challenge of finding a point of creative balance brought out the best in each of them, without losing their essence as artists.
A luxury team behind the film
The direction will be in charge of Tatsuya Yoshiharaknown for his work on key episodes of the anime Chainsaw Man and in much of Black Clover. The script will be the responsibility of Hiroshi Sekowhile Kazutaka Sugiyama returns as character designer.
