The renowned Japanese director Naoya Kurisutogether with the independent label hand to mousehas revealed his new 3D animated short film Kinuginu no Hanayuki (Frost flowers after a night of pleasure). The work will premiere in Japan on October 17accompanying a digitally remastered version of his previous film in theaters Sleep Tight My Baby, Cradled in the Sky (2015).

With a duration of approximately 15 minutes, Kinuginu no Hanayuki It will initially have a modern Japanese dub, although a later release of a version with a dub adapted to period Japanese is planned.

Inspired by classic stories from the Heian era
The plot is based on a story of Konjaku Monogataria celebrated collection of stories from the Heian era. The story follows Tokimasawho visits the house of a woman he abandoned some time ago. There he finds his corpse and a mysterious light that terrifies him. Convinced that he had been cursed by her before dying, he turns to the onmyōji (exorcist) Kamo no Tadayuki to break the spell.
