The singer-songwriter's official YouTube channel asmi released the video clip of his third single on CD, “Kimi ga Kureta Monkey” (“Everything you gave me”), song that has become the opening theme of the second season of A Couple of Cuckoos. The video clip is now available on the platform, along with the version creditless from the opening of the anime.
Asmi's career
asmi debuted in 2019 under the SPACE SHOWER MUSIC label and since then he has performed songs for titles such as The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, Rent-A-Girlfriend, Urusei Yatsura, Pocket Monster and more recently Food for the Soul. Her versatility and fresh style have made her one of the most recognized emerging voices in the industry.
Through the anime's official website, Asmi shared a few words on the subject: “Love can sometimes distort even the most sincere heart. When the magic disappears, what's left? I wanted to sing my own love song with an accelerated rock rhythm, perfect for the summer. It's an honor to be part of A Couple of Cuckoos“I want my song to strongly paint the lives of these five characters and also your story.”

The theme “Kimi ga Kureta Monkey” debuted in digital format on July 8while the CD release is scheduled for September 24. Both editions include original illustrations that accompany the single.
About the 2nd season
After a first season of 24 episodes broadcast in 2022, the expected second season of A Couple of Cuckoosadaptation of the romantic manga by Miki Yoshikawapremiered in Japan on July 8, 2025. The platform Crunchyroll broadcasts the series in multiple regions, including Europe and Latin America.
