The platform Web Action of Futabasha published this Tuesday the epilogue chapter that marks the end of the manga Holmes of Kyoto (Kyōto Teramachi Sanjō no Holmes), work of Ichiha Akizukibased on the light novel series written by Mai Mochizuki and illustrated by Siz Yamauchi.
Mystery story in the heart of Kyoto
The plot follows Aoi Mashiroa high school student who happens to meet Kiyotaka Yagashirason of the owner of an antique store in the shopping district Teramachi Sanjō from Kyoto. Known as the “Holmes of Teramachi Sanjō,” Kiyotaka teams up with Aoi to solve enigmatic cases that come to the store from customers with unusual problems.
An editorial journey of almost seven years
The manga premiered in Monthly Action in October 2017, but in February 2024 it became Web Action after the magazine closed. Throughout its publication, the work reached 14 compilation volumesthe last of which was released on January 9 in Japan. It even became available in digital format thanks to Crunchyroll.

The original novel series began in April 2016 and currently has 22 volumesthe most recent published on May 14, 2025. Its popularity gave rise to an animated television adaptation released in July 2018which was broadcast internationally by Crunchyroll.
