Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc debuted with spectacular numbers in Japan. The film, based on Reze's arc from the manga Tatsuki Fujimotosold more than 272,000 tickets on its first day, reaching a collection of 420 million yen (approximately 2.8 million dollars).

The film was released in 421 rooms throughout Japan and featured special features in formats MX4D, 4DX and Dolby Cinema. Midnight screenings were also held in 12 cinemas in cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Hokkaido, reinforcing public expectations.
Future projections
According to the distributor TOHOthe film could surpass the 5 billion yen (around $34 million) throughout its run at the box office. The announcement came a day after a special event at the cinema TOHO CINEMAS Hibiya from Tokyo, with the presence of the voice cast.
International premiere
Sony Pictures Entertainment acquired the worldwide distribution rights and brought forward its release in several territories. In the United States the October 24five days ahead of schedule. In the United Kingdom it will be released on October 29while in more than 80 countries will be projected from September 24.
