The producer REMOW confirmed that the romantic comedy yuri, based on the novels by Teren Mikamiwill have a special release in Japanese cinemas under the title There's No Freaking Way I'll Be Your Lover! Unless… ~Next Shine~.
The sequel will consist of five restructured episodes which will be presented first as a limited release in theaters on November 21, 2025. Later, the same content will be broadcast on Japanese television, allowing more fans to follow the story without having to go to movie theaters.

The WATANARE phenomenon
Mikami's work, which mixes college comedy with a yuri romance full of entanglements, quickly became a cult title among fans of the genre. The anime's first season attracted attention for its light tone and colorful visual style, allowing it to gain popularity outside of Japan thanks to streaming platforms.

REMOW accompanied the announcement with a first trailer and a new promotional image.
