The final episode of Seishun Buta Yarou wa Santa Claus no Yume wo Minai brought with it an announcement that excited fans: the anime of Seishun Buta Yarou will definitively close with a final movie in 2026. The project will be titled Seishun Buta Yarou wa Dear Friend no Yume wo Minai and will adapt volume 15 of the light novel, the last of the work written by Hajime Kamoshida.
The study CloverWorks He will once again be in charge of animation, as he already did with the original series and the previous films. In this way, the franchise will reach its conclusion after a decade of adaptations that began in 2018 with the first season of the anime.
A tour of anime adaptations
The franchise Seishun Buta Yarou started with the story of Bunny Girl Senpaicovering the first five volumes of the novel. Later came the movies Seishun Buta Yarou wa Yumemiru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai (volumes 6-7), Seishun Buta Yarou wa Odekake Sister no Yume wo Minai (volume 8) and Seishun Buta Yarou wa Randoseru Girl no Yume wo Minai (volume 9). Finally, in 2024 it was released Santa Claus 13 episodes long.
With the confirmation of Dear FriendCloverWorks will put the finishing touch by adapting the last light novel arcpublished between 2014 and 2024 under the Dengeki Bunko label.
