During the New York Comic Con 2025the anime production team Witch Hat Atelier presented a new promotional visual starring koko and Qifreywith which they welcomed those attending the event. The long-awaited adaptation of the manga Kamome Shirahama also confirmed a major change to its release schedule.
Originally scheduled to premiere in 2025, the project was postponed until 2026. According to the official statement, the decision seeks to “present the charm of the project with even greater quality.” The team thanked the fans for their support and assured that they will continue working to offer a version that does justice to the original material.
Confirmed production team
The anime will be directed by Ayumu Watanabeknown for his work in Ace Attorney and the movies Doraemon. The animation is in charge of the studio BUG FILMSwhile Hiroaki Kojima (Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu.) works as a producer. Kairi Unabara (Pokémon Evolutions) is in charge of character design and Yuka Kitamura (Elden Ring) composes the soundtrack.
The platform Crunchyroll confirmed that it will broadcast the series simultaneously with its broadcast in Japan.

the manga Witch Hat Atelier was created by Kamome Shirahama and began its publication in July 2016 in the magazine Morning Two of Kodansha.
