About the novel

The original story of OreKano: There's No Freaking Way I'll Be Your Lover! Unless… comes from a series of light novels written by Teren Mikami with illustrations of Eku Takeshima (author of Whisper Me a Love Song). The work combines romantic comedy and yuri themes, exploring the complexity of feelings between two young people who fake a relationship to fulfill a personal agreement.

A manga adaptation illustrated by Musshu began to be published in the section Dash X Comic from the site Niconico Seiga in May 2020. Since then, the franchise has gained recognition among readers of the genre for its balance between humor and emotional drama.
