On the official site for the live-action series adaptation of the manga “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (My Dress-Up Darling),” a new promotional visual for the project was revealed. The press release confirmed that The premiere is scheduled for October 8 on television in Japanand lists new cast members who, in turn, They confirm that the story will be adapted beyond what was seen in the anime.

New voice cast members include:
- Akana Ikeda like Sajuna Inui.
- Kokoro Toyoshima like Shinju Inui.
- Daichi Shiozaki like Chitose Amano.
- Meikyo Yamada like Kaoru Gojo.

Daichi Shioaki himself commented on his participation as Chitose Amano, a character who was not seen in the anime adaptation:
- «I had the opportunity to watch the anime of “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru”, so when I was informed that I would be participating in this adaptation, I was very happy. The character of Amano, who I had the pleasure of playing, has cosplay as a hobby, so it was the first time I cosplayed in my life, which was a very refreshing experience and taught me a lot about the character. The drama will star Riko Nagase and Kouta Nomura in the lead roles. Nagase will play Marin Kitagawa, a charismatic and outgoing girl who has gained popularity in her class thanks to her energy and passion for cosplay. For his part, Nomura will play Wakana Gojou, an introverted high school student who, although he feels isolated by his unconventional tastes, is passionate about creating heads for hina dolls.
The plot of the drama closely follows the story of the original manga, where Gojou, who feels out of place among his peers, finds an unexpected ally in Marin. The popular girl discovers his sewing skills and asks him to help her make cosplay costumes. Although Gojou is initially intimidated by the proposal, Marin's genuine excitement prompts him to accept the challenge. As the two work together, Gojou begins to step out of his comfort zone and open himself up to new experiences.
The original “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru” series has gained a solid fan base since its debut in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine. Its popularity skyrocketed even more with the anime adaptation, which was very well received by critics and fans, but has not yet gotten a second season. With the arrival of live-action, many hope to see how this new version will capture the essence of the characters and the magic of the original story.
