The story of Cyborg 009one of Japan's most iconic science fiction mangas, will come to life again on stage. The second installment of its theatrical adaptation, titled “Cyborg 009 The Stage – The 13th Pursuer”will be presented from November 14 to 24, 2025 in it Stellar Ball from the Shinagawa Prince hotel in Tokyo.
The official website of the project has published a new promotional trailer and one main visual imageincreasing the expectation of fans who are eagerly awaiting this new scenic chapter of the franchise.
A production that celebrates decades of legacy
The first play was presented in May 2024 as part of the 60th anniversary from the original manga created by Shotaro Ishinomoriwhich debuted on July 19, 1964 in the magazine Weekly King. Thanks to its great reception, the story continues in this new installment on stage.
Main cast and new characters
The entire main cast of the first play will reprise their roles. Among them, the presence of the former Takarazuka star stands out, Hiroki Nanamiwho gives life to Joe Shimamura / 009. They also return Emma Tenka as 001 / Ivan Whiskey, Shunichi Takahashi as 002 / Jet Link, Minori Otoha as 003 / Françoise Arnouland Masamichi Satonaka as 004 / Albert Heinrich.
They complete the cast Haruto Sakuraba (005 / Geronimo Jr.), Toshiya Sakai (006/Chang Changku), Kazuma Kawahara (007/Great Britain), and Toyotaka (008/Pyunma).
Among the new additions are Himari Nonohana as 0012 and Dai Goto as 0013. Besides, Kohei Nakatsuka will play Skull and Hiroo Otaka to Isaac Gilmore.
Production and input details
Management is once again in the hands of Go Ueki (Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Rule the Stage), while the script is written by Shinjiro Kameda (MANKAI STAGE 'A3!'). The pre-sale of tickets will take place between August 2 and the September 18while the general sale will begin on September 20.
