A recent leak assured that the manga Yuto Suzuki“Sakamoto Days“, will have a live-action film adaptation to be directed by Yuuichi Fukuda (from the “Gintama” live-action films) and that will premiere sometime in 2026 in Japan. Although the information is not officially confirmed, it comes from a reliable source who has been correct in their previous leaks.

Synopsis of Sakamoto Days
The name Tarou Sakamoto struck fear into any villain. No other professional hitman matched his exploits, and his colleagues revered him. However, Sakamoto fell in love. In five years he married, became a father, gained weight, and traded his weapons for an apron to become the owner of a humble store.
Although Sakamoto is decidedly retired, he finds it difficult to let go of his former life as a criminal. His former partner, Shin Asakura, reappears and decides to stay with Sakamoto's family under their strict no-kill rule. To make matters worse, a large bounty has been placed on Sakamoto's head. Numerous assassins are chasing him, but they are in for a surprise. Sakamoto has not lost his mind and, whatever the tricks of his enemies, he will fight each and every one of them to protect his beloved family.
