The magazine Monthly Shonen Gangan of square enix announced that the author Yasunobu Yamauchi will release a new manga titled Joshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Daily Lives of High School Girls). The series will debut on October 18 through the portal Gangan Online and will present a story focused on the daily life of a group of high school girls. The magazine advances the slogan: “High school girls can be dumb too.”
The return of an author known for his absurd humor
Yasunobu Yamauchi is remembered for creating Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Daily Lives of High School Boys), a comedy that sarcastically portrayed the experiences of three high school students. The manga was published in Gangan Online between 2009 and 2012, and had a total of seven compilation volumes.
The work achieved great popularity after inspiring a anime series in 2012 produced by Sunrise, as well as a live-action movie in 2013.
