Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle continues unstoppable at the Japanese box office. After 45 days in theaters, the film has surpassed 20 million tickets soldreaching a collection of 29.98 billion yen (about 202.8 million dollars).
According to the official announcement of the franchise on X (formerly Twitter), until August 24 there are 21.10 million tickets sold. To put it in perspective, the successful Mugen Train It reached that same figure after 59 days in theaters.
With these results, Infinity Castle it is already the third highest grossing film in Japanese historyonly behind Spirited Away (31.6 billion yen) and Mugen Train (40.7 billion yen).
International success in Asia
The phenomenon is not limited to Japan. In Taiwan, the film has grossed more than 639 million Taiwan dollars ($21.04 million) with 2.07 million admissions, becoming the most viewed Japanese film in the country's historysurpassing Mugen Train in just 23 days.
In South Korea, the film has generated $25.1 million with 3.2 million tickets sold, ranking as the third highest grossing film of the year in just ten days and surpassing international productions such as Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. In addition, it has entered the all-time top anime in Korea, surpassing The Moving Castle and Mugen Train.
In Southeast Asia, the numbers are also impressive: 9.4 million dollars in Hong Kong, 6.9 million in Indonesia, 6.5 million in Thailand, 5.9 million in Malaysia, 5.8 million in the Philippines and 4.4 million in Vietnamaccording to data from Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Production and global premiere
The film is directed by Haruo Sotozaki under the animation of the studio ufotable. Character design and animation direction are in charge of Akira Matsushimawhile the soundtrack is provided by Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina. Infinity Castle premiered in Japan on July 18 and will arrive in theaters in the United States and Canada on September 12. International tickets are now available.
Synopsis of the final showdown
The story follows Tanjiro Kamadowho along with his companions from the Demon Hunter Corps, Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibirahas fought increasingly powerful demons. Throughout his journey he has fought alongside the Hashira in decisive battles: with Kyojuro Rengoku on the Infinity Train, Tengen Uzui in the Entertainment District and Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji in the Blacksmiths' Village.
While the Hashira and the Corps were undergoing intense training for the impending war, Muzan Kibutsuji breaks into the Ubuyashiki Mansion. In the midst of the chaos, Tanjiro and the others are dragged into the Infinity Castlethe bastion of demons, where the final battle between hunters and demons.
