The Spanish streamer Kelton_g has been banned from Kick after starring in a controversial incident in Japan that quickly went viral. In clips spread on social networks, he is seen pushing an elderly Japanese man in the Tokyo subway, which sparked a wave of criticism and calls for his deportation.
According to the videos shared on x and Reddit, the content creator was sitting in a priority seat when an older man confronted him. The situation escalated until the streamer pushed the old man into another seat, a gesture that generated outrage among millions of users who condemned his attitude.
The streamer's response
Faced with the controversy, Kelton published a video on Instagram where he acknowledged that his behavior “was not the most correct,” but defended that he acted solely in self-defense.
“I promise that it was for the purpose of defending myself from the constant intimidation that was against me. The man was rude and tried to hit me three times in a row, and I pushed him away. I acted only in a defensive position and never to harm anyone”, he stated.
Context of streamers in Japan
Japan has become a recurring destination for content creators, although not without controversy. In recent years, there have been multiple incidents with foreign streamers, including the case of Johnny Somaliwho was arrested for his behavior in public spaces.
Do you think the reaction of Kelton_g Can it be justified as self-defense or should he face more severe consequences?
