The anime production team Roll Over and Die: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword! (“Omae Gotoki ga Maou ni Kateru to Omou na” to Yuusha Party o Tsuihou Sareta node, Outo de Kimama ni Kurashitai) presented his main promotional videoalong with the reveal of new musical themes, additional cast, and the scheduled release date for January 2026.
The group PassCode will perform the opening theme titled “Liberator”while the singer Yuki Tanaka will handle the closing theme “I Need”. Both songs were composed and arranged by renowned producers of the medium, setting the emotional and dark tone of the anime.
Cast and new characters
New additions to the cast include Machico as Sara Anvilena nun with a strong sense of justice; Masakazu Morita as Dein Phineasan A-rank adventurer with ruthless methods; and Honoka Inoue as Y'lla Jelicina cynical and sharp-tongued receptionist.
The project has an experienced technical team, headed by Micro Magazine and a cast that promises to maintain the balance between action, drama and dark fantasy. The production confirmed that Crunchyroll will broadcast the anime internationally under the title Roll Over and Die.
From novel to international phenomenon
The original story, written by kiki and illustrated by Kintadebuted in 2018 and currently has more than 415,000 copies in circulation between its print and digital editions. The manga adaptation, illustrated by Sunao Minakatais also published by Micro Magazine and distributed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
