The official site for the anime adaptation of the manga Yowayowa Sensei presented his first visual and confirmed that the television anime will premiere in April 2026. Production will be carried out by the studio Brain's Baseknown by titles such as Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai and It will last!!.
The project adapts the school romantic comedy written and illustrated by Kamio Fukuchiserialized in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2022. The story continues Hiyori Hiwamuraa teacher nicknamed “Kowa Kowa Sensei” for her intimidating appearance, although in reality she is weak and clumsy in every way, which has earned her the affectionate nickname “Yowa Yowa Sensei”. When your student Akihito Abikura discovers her secret, decides to help her clean up her reputation, triggering situations full of humor and tenderness.
Cast and production team
The main cast is made up of Marika Kouno (Shiunji-ke no Kodomotachi) as Hiyori Hiwamura and Kakeru Hatano (Bun) as Akihito Abikura. The direction is carried out by Hiroshi Ishidori (Watashi ga Motete Dousunda), while Yoshifumi Fukushima (Mix: Meisei Story) oversees the composition of the series.
Naoki Aisaka is in charge of character design, and the music will be composed by Akifumi Tada (Princess Connect! Re:Dive) along with Rina Tayama (Vampire Dormitory). The manga has 14 volumes published to date, and volume number 15 will go on sale on November 17 under the seal of Kodansha.
