The agency Cover Corporation announced that the popular VTuber Akai Haatoa member of the first generation of hololive, has decided to go on an indefinite hiatus due to health issues. According to the statement, the decision was made after consultation with his family and with the aim of prioritizing his well-being.
In the same announcement, the company noted that some fragments of Haato's recent broadcasts have been edited out of context to spread rumors and defamatory comments about other talents. Cover warned that it will take civil and criminal actions against those who continue to participate in the spread of this type of content.
No confirmed return date
So far, neither Cover nor Akai Haato herself have confirmed when she plans to resume her activities. The creator began her career as a VTuber in 2018 and describes herself as a “cheeky kohai,” being one of the most recognized personalities within hololive for her eccentric style and particular humor.
