The anime Mato Seihei no Slave already has a release date for its second season


The action and fantasy anime adaptation project, Mato Seihei no Slave (Chained Soldier), has confirmed the release date and a new voice cast for its second season. The series, based on the manga Takahiro and Youhei Takemurais scheduled to premiere on January 8, 2026 on the AT-X network in Japan, followed by broadcasts on TOKYO MX, BS Asahi and MBS.

Confirmed voice cast

The second season will integrate new voice actresses who will give life to key characters in the continuation of the story:

  • Yukana (Helck in Helck) as Fubuki Azuma.
  • Fairouz Ai (Delta in Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakuse!) as Mira Kamiunten.
  • Kana Ichinose (Lily in Fuguushoku “Kanteishi” ga Jitsuwa Saikyou Datta) as Konomi Tatara.
  • Manaka Iwami (Shiki Rindo in Tougen Anki) as Bell Tsukiyono.
  • Fuuka Izumi (Kurumi Mikadono in Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi.) as Yakumo Ezo.

Production equipment and background

The direction of the second season will be in charge of Masafumi Tamura (Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha) in the studies Passion and Hayabusa Film. The composition of the series falls on Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Tensei Kizoku), and Keiya Nakano (Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku) is in charge of character design. The music will be composed by Kohta Yamamoto (Maougun Saikyou no Majutsushi wa Ningen datta).

The first season, produced by Seven Arcswas broadcast in 12 episodes at the beginning of 2024 and was licensed by Sentai Filmworks for simultaneous transmission through HIDIVE in North America.

About the work

Mato Seihei no Slave is an action-fantasy manga written by Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takemura. Serialization began in the web magazine Shounen Jump+ of Shueisha in January 2019. The Japanese publisher published the volume 19 in September, while Yen Press edits the work in English, with the volume 13 scheduled for release in December.
