The anime adaptation of the fantasy manga Frieren: Beyond Journey's End shared three new illustrations focused on its protagonist. In the images, Frieren appears taking a nap, blowing a kiss and being rescued by Fernher apprentice, after being caught by a Mimic.



The series will return to Japanese television on January 16, 2026with simultaneous transmission globally through Crunchyroll. The new season will continue adapting the popular work of Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abepublished by Shogakukan in the magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday from April 2020with 15 compilation volumes released to date.
Production and studio team
The second season is directed by Tomoya Kitagawa in the studio MADHOUSE. The script is supervised by Tomohiro Suzukiwhile the character design is carried out by Maru Takase, Keisuke Kojima and Yuri Fujinaka. The music is composed by Evan Callknown for his work in productions such as Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song and Violet Evergarden.
With new illustrations and the promise of a visually impeccable continuation, the story of Frieren and Fern he prepares to resume his journey beyond the end of the adventure.
