The official site of the anime adaptation of the manga The Darwin Incident (Darwin Jihen), written and illustrated by Shun Umezawareleased its first promotional video and a new main visual. The announcement also confirmed the three protagonists that make up the main cast.

Production team
Naokatsu Tsuda (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) directs the series in BELLNOX FILMSwhile Katsuichi Nakayama (Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time) serves as series director. Shinichi Inotsume (PERSONA 5 the Animation) is in charge of the scripts, and Shinpei Tomooka (BUILD-DIVIDE -#000000- CODE BLACK) designs the characters. The music is composed by Arisa Okehazama (The Apothecary Diaries) and Mariko Horikawa (Sumikkogurashi: Good to be in the corner), with Yoshikazu Iwanami (Ajin, Fate/Zero) as sound director.
About the manga
Shun Umezawa launched the manga in the magazine Afternoon of Kodansha in 2020. The ninth compiled volume was published on May 22while Kodansha USA released the eighth volume in English on September 23.
Recognitions
The work won the 15th Taisho Manga in 2022 and received a Excellence Award in the Manga category of 25th Japan Media Arts Festival. He also held the position #10 in the guide Kono Manga ga Sugoi! of Takarajimasha that same year, and was nominated in the 47th and 48th Kodansha Manga Awards (2023 and 2024, respectively).
