Shinpei Nagaidirector of the third season of One Punch Mandeactivated his account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) after receiving numerous negative messages from some followers.
According to previous publications by Nagai himself, the constant criticism towards the development of the new season began to affect his emotional well-being and his work environment. Before deleting his account, the director wrote:
“This is affecting my mental health. It only brings negative consequences for the work, the team and the original creators.”
The director had assumed responsibility for the third season of the anime, produced by JC Staff. Since its announcement, the production has faced divided reactions from fans, who have expressed concern about the visual quality compared to the first season made by madhouse.
So far, neither the studio nor the franchise's official account have issued statements about the social media director's departure.
