The official site of Warner Bros. Japan and STUDIO4°C published a new trailer for the animated adaptation of the science fiction light novel All You Need Is Killwritten by Hiroshi Sakurazaka and illustrated by Yoshitoshi ABe. The video confirms that the theatrical release in Japan will be January 9, 2026 in a total of ten rooms.
The trailer also features the main theme titled “Tsuretette”performed by the artist AKASAKIalong with a new promotional visual starring the two main characters in full combat.

Production team
The direction is in charge of Kenichiro Akimotowho previously worked as CGI director on Children of the Sea and as unit director in Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko. The project is a co-production between STUDIO4°C and Warner Bros. Japanwhich seeks to offer a more faithful interpretation of the original tone of the novel.
All You Need Is Kill was originally published in 2004 and achieved international notoriety after inspiring the film Edge of Tomorrow (2014), starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. The work combines elements of time travel, military action and existential dilemmasfollowing Keiji Kiriya, a soldier trapped in a time loop during an alien invasion.
