Kadokawa confirmed that the light novel series Matsurika Kanridenwritten by Rinne Ishida and illustrated by Izumiwill have a television anime adaptation. The announcement came accompanied by a preliminary promotional video, although at the moment no further details of the production were revealed.

Commemorative illustrations
Following the announcement, two special illustrations were shared: one made by Izumiillustrator of the novels, and another made by Waka Takaseresponsible for the manga adaptation. Both pieces were presented as part of the celebration for the beginning of the animated project.


The original publication began in July 2017with the most recent volume, number 17, distributed on April 15. On the other hand, the manga was launched in the magazine Monthly Princess of Akita Shoten in August 2018. It currently has eleven compilation volumes, while volume number 12 is scheduled for release on October 16.
To date, the series has accumulated more than 2 million copies in circulationincluding digital editions, reflecting its reach within the market.
