After more than a decade as one of the most popular isekai franchises, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) already has an end date. The publisher Micro Magazinethrough its label GC Novels, announced that the story written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah will conclude with the volume 23which will be published in Japan on November 29, 2025. The publisher also presented the official cover of the volume.

An ending accompanied by a spinoff
That same day, GC Novels will release Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Toaru Kyuuka no Sugoshi-kata (How to Spend a Certain Vacation), a parallel story that will serve as a complement for fans. The work will have its own cover with illustrations by Mitz Vah.
More than 10 years of history
The saga of Slime Isekai started in 2013 as a web serialization Shousetsuka ni Narouaccumulating more than 400 million readings. One year later, Micro Magazine It began its publication in physical format, consolidating the series as one of the benchmarks of the isekai genre. In English, the novels are published by Yen Press.
A phenomenon inside and outside of anime
The franchise not only shined in bookstores: in 2018 it made the leap to anime with the adaptation of Taiki Kawakami's manga. Since then, it has had several successful seasons, the most recent being the third, broadcast in 2024 for two courses consecutive. In addition, a fourth season is already confirmed in production.
With the announcement of the final volume, Fuse's work joins the list of great isekai sagas that conclude their journey, leaving behind a huge fan base and a legacy that will continue to live on through its multiple adaptations.
