The live-action One Piece shows a preview of its second season


Netflix shared a sneak peek of the second season from the live-action of One Piecebased on the manga by Eiichiro Oda. The trailer includes commentary from the main cast, scenes of what's to come, and a first look at the character's inclusion Tashigi.

The second season will premiere in 2026 and will encompass the arches of Loguetown, Reverse Mountain and Twin Capein addition to Whiskey Peak, Little Garden and Drum Island. With this, the story moves forward to key moments in the Straw Hats' journey on the Grand Line.

Production and creative changes

Filming began in July 2024 and has already concluded. The production of this new season added to Joe Tracz (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) as writer, executive producer and co-showrunner, who joins Matt Owens. Besides, Steve Maedaco-showrunner on the first season, returns as executive producer. It should be noted that Owens announced in March that he would be leaving the project after finishing season 2 to address his mental health.

The original creator, Eiichiro Odaassured that this second installment will maintain the spirit of the work and will be faithful to the original material, with special attention to the narrative arcs that will mark the direction of the crew.
