The franchise of Detective Conan continues to expand and, through the official TOHO Movie channel on YouTube, a super teaser trailer of your next 29th film. The preview confirmed that the new installment will premiere in Golden Week 2026between the April 29 and May 6. At the moment, the official title of the film has not been revealed.

Teaser that connects with the previous film
This trailer is a renewed version of the teaser shown at the end of the most recent installment, Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashbackreleased in Japan on April 18, 2025. In the video, you hear Chihaya Hagiwaraassistant inspector of Kanagawa Prefecture, utter the intriguing phrase: “What did you want to say that day?”
Miyuki Sawashiro as Chihaya Hagiwara
Through the official account on X (formerly Twitter), it was confirmed that Miyuki Sawashirorecognized for giving voice to Fujiko Mine in Lupine the Thirdwill play Chihaya Hagiwara. The actress will replace the deceased Atsuko Tanakawho left the role after his death in 2024.

In a message to fans, Sawashiro expressed his admiration for Tanaka and assured that he will do his best to make the public become attached to the character through his voice. He even revealed that he decided to get his motorcycle license to connect more with Chihaya, although he joked that he will have to start with physical training to be able to lift a fallen motorcycle. Finally, he invited fans to accompany the character both in the series and in future films.

In its first 90 days on the billboard it reached 10 million tickets sold and raised 14.4 billion yen (approximately 97.9 million dollars). This made her the second highest grossing film of the franchise, only behind Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagramwhich achieved 15.8 billion yen ($107 million).
