The original work and its international success
The manga of Dr. STONEwritten by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichiwas serialized in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump of Shueisha from March 2017 to March 2022, meeting in a total of 27 volumes. In the West, the publisher VIZ Media is responsible for its publication in English.
Team behind the animated adaptation
The animated version is directed by Shuhei Miyashita under the production of TMS Entertainment. The script is written by Kurasumi Sunayamawhile Yuko Iwasa design the characters. Music is the work of Tatsuya Kato, Hiroaki Tsutsumi and YUKI KANESAKA.

The plot takes us several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon petrified all of humanity. Senku Ishigamia young man with a prodigious intellect and passion for science, awakens in a world turned to stone. Determined to rebuild civilization from scratch, he teams up with his childhood friend Taiju Oki and together they begin an adventure to return humanity's lost glory.
With a journey that spans from Stone Age to the modern era, the work tells an unprecedented scientific epic where each discovery opens the door to new possibilities… and new dangers.
