Hana-Kimi: The anime reveals its supporting cast and main staff


The Hana-Kimi anime adaptationthe iconic shojo manga by Hisaya Nakajocontinues to generate expectation among fans. The official website recently confirmed to the additional voice actors that will debut in the first episode, as well as the main production equipment.

Additional cast confirmed

The new characters and their interpreters are the following:

  • Minami Nanba – performed by Yuichiro Umehara (Goblin Slayer in Goblin Slayer).
  • Hokuto Umeda – performed by Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch in Code Geass).
  • Senri Nakao – performed by Reiji Kawashima (Fushi in To Your Eternity).
  • Taiki Kayashima – performed by Koki Uchiyama (Tomura Shigaraki in My Hero Academia).
  • Kyogo Sekime – performed by Wataru Komada (Chris Koron in THE IDOLM@STER SideM).
  • Shinji Noe – performed by Anan Furuya (Haruka Asahina in OVERTAKE!).
  • Wataru Nihonbashi – performed by Kotaro Nishiyama (Atsushi Kinugawa in Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!).
  • Julia Maxwell – performed by Yuko Natsuyoshi (Sasha Necron in The Misfit of Demon King Academy).

the anime of Hana Kimi will be broadcast on Crunchyroll at the same time as in Japan, available for regions such as Europe, Latin America, North America, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS and India.

The original manga was published in the magazine Hana to Yume of Hakusensha between 1996 and 2004, accumulating great success in his time. In the West, VIZ Media edits it in English. The work has also inspired live-action adaptations in Taiwan (2006), Japan (2007, 2011) and South Korea (2012).

Synopsis of the shojo classic

The story follows Mizukia Japanese-American athlete who decides to transfer to a high school in Japan with a very particular goal: to be close to her idol, the high jumper. Izumi Sano. However, the plan has an unexpected twist: the institute is exclusively for boys, so Mizuki must dress up as a man. Fate leads her to share a room with Sano, which triggers a coexistence full of entanglements, secrets and youthful emotions.
