The next television anime Mechanical Marieadaptation of the romantic comedy shojo manga created by Aki Akimotohas revealed the artists who will perform its title songs. The series is scheduled to premiere in Japan in October 2025.
The singer Harutya will be in charge of the opening theme titled “Honto to Uso” (“Truth and Lies”), while the ending will be provided by Mariaperformed by voice actress Nao Toyamawith the song “Cross heart ~ Itsuwari no Nai Kimochi” (“Crossed heart ~ Feelings without falsehood”).

The original manga was published by Hakusensha in the magazine LaLa between June 2020 and June 2023, reaching a total of six compilation volumes in Japan. The animated adaptation is directed by Junji Nishimura and produced jointly by the studios Zero-G and Bast. The script is written by Mariko Kunisawathe character design is in the hands of Yoko Kikuchi and the soundtrack features the participation of Yasuharu Takanashi and Johannes Nilsson.
