The publisher Kadokawa announced that the light novel series Bride of the Barrier Master will have a anime television adaptation. To celebrate the news, commemorative illustrations of bodaxillustrator of the original novel, and Odayakain charge of the manga version.


Production details
The project will be carried out by the animation studio TROYCAwith Toru Kitahata as director. Yoko Kitahara will oversee composition and scripts, while Minami Murayama will be in charge of character design. As a preview, a promotional illustration which shows the protagonists, Hana and Saku, wearing kimonos under a cherry blossom tree illuminated by the full moon, conveying the romantic and fantastic essence of the story.

The original work
The light novel is written by Kureha and illustrated by bodaxpublished in Japan under the label Kadokawa Bunko. Currently it has six volumesbeing the last scheduled for August 25, 2025. The manga adaptation, illustrated by Odayaka, is published in the magazine Enterbrain. For its part, Yen Press distributes both the novels and the manga in English.
anime synopsis
