Gachiakuta reveals three new voice actors for its anime


He Gachiakuta television animebased on the manga Kei Uranarecently announced three new members in its main cast. Through your official account at X/Twitterthe production revealed the performers who will give life to key characters in the story:

These names join an already stellar cast that includes Aoi Ichikawa like Rudo, Katsuyuki Konishi like Enjin, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka like Zanka and Yumiri Hanamori Like Riyo.

A dark story in a world of waste

The plot of Gachiakuta revolves around Rudea young man who grows up in the slums of a floating city. There, the rich live surrounded by luxury while they throw their garbage into the abyss.

After being wrongly accused of murder, Rudo is condemned to exile along with the dregs of humanity. On the surface, infested with monsters born from garbage, he must learn to master a new power and join the Cleanersa group that fights against these colossal beasts to survive and discover the truth.

Production by BONES

The anime is directed by Fumihiko Suganuma (The First Slam Dunk, Train to the End of the World), while Hiroshi Seko (Chainsaw Man, Vinland Saga, Mob Psycho 100) is in charge of the script. Satoshi Ishino (Go Live, Captain Earth) designs the characters and supervises the animation, and the music is composed by Taku Iwasaki (Bungo Stray Dogs, Shin Kamen Rider).

International premiere and rising manga

Gachiakuta premiered in Japan on July 6, 2024 across CBC, TBS and 26 other networks. That same day, Crunchyroll began broadcasting the series in territories such as North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS region (except Russia and Belarus), and the Indian subcontinent. Additionally, the platform offers a english dubbing along with the original subtitled version.

The original manga began publication in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in February 2022. Hideyoshi Ando collaborates in the design of graffiti, providing a distinctive style to the work. To date, Kodansha has collected 15 volumesthe last one published last June 17, 2024.
