Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will have advance screenings in the US


Crunchyroll and Fandango they announced that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle – Akaza Sairaithe first film in the trilogy Infinity Castlewill have advance screenings in the United States on September 9 at 7:00 p.m. (local time) for plan subscribers Mega and Ultimate Fan from Crunchyroll. The general release in theaters in the United States and Canada will be September 12with functions in standard format, IMAX and large premium screens. The film will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles and will also feature English dubbing, in which Channing Tatum (magic mike, 21 Jump Street) will give voice to Keizo.

Tremendously overwhelming success in Japan

In Japan, the film was released on July 18selling more than 3.8 million entries and raising around $37.22 million in its first three days. Adding the holiday of Marine Day (July 21), reached $49.3 million on a four-day long weekend.

In its first 25 days in theaters, it has sold 15.69 million entries and raised approximately $148.7 millionsurpassing One Piece Film Red and placing itself as the sixth highest-grossing film in history in Japan. For reference, Mugen Train It made more than $197 million in its first 24 days in 2020.

An unprecedented global expansion

The film is currently being screened in 443 rooms in Japan—including IMAX screenings—setting a record for the franchise. Out of the country, Aniplex plans to release the film in more than 150 countries and regionssurpassing the previous international tour of 145 territories.

Based on the manga Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba debuted on television in 2019. Since then he has adapted arcs such as Mugen Train, Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village and Hashira Trainingwith special episodes and theatrical releases that have consolidated the franchise as a global phenomenon. The manga, completed in 2020, currently exceeds 200 million copies in circulation at a global level.
