Crayon Shin-chan's New Movie Debuts at No. 4 in Japan


The franchise Crayon Shin-chan returns to the big screen with his number one film 32titled Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Chō Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers. This new feature film, promoted as the first musical entertainment film of the saga, takes place in colorful India, a country where the series is very popular. The film was released in Japan on August 8 and quickly positioned himself in the fourth place at the box office.

A premiere that made the box office dance

During its first weekend, the film sold 363,000 entries and raised 450,283,700 yen (approximately $3.07 million). By adding the holiday Monday of August 11 —Mountain Day in Japan—, reached a total of 516,000 entries and 633 million yen (about 4.33 million dollars) in its first four days.

Shin-chan and the Kasukabe Defense Force leave for India

In this delivery, Shinnosuke and his friends travel to India to participate in a dance show full of energy and humor characteristic of the saga. The actor Kento Kaku plays Wolfan eccentric Indian billionaire who sings and dances, being one of the new key characters in the story.

A team with franchise experience

The direction is carried out by Masakazu Hashimotoresponsible for several previous films, including Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Mononoke Ninja Chinpūden. The script was written by Kimiko Uenowho also participated in previous installments such as Shinkon Ryokō Hurricaneensuring that Shin-chan's classic humor and spirit remain intact.
