Detective Conan launches free movies on YouTube during August


The producer TMS Entertainment announced through its official account that it will release four films in the franchise Detective Conan as part of his campaign “Cinema Saturdays”. Each film will premiere on the YouTube channel “Anime! on TMS” Saturdays in August at 04:00 (Spain time).

The release schedule is as follows:

  • August 2: Detective Conan: The Raven Chaser
  • August 9: Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno
  • August 16: Detective Conan: Dimensional Sniper
  • August 23: Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet

These screenings follow other previous broadcasts during July, which included:

  • Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare (July 12)
  • Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer (July 19)
  • Detective Conan: Countdown to Heaven (July 26)

A franchise that continues to grow

The original series Detective Conanalso known internationally as Case Closedbegan airing on January 1996 and remains active to this day. Its story revolves around Conan Edogawaa young detective whose physical appearance was reduced to that of a child after being poisoned. Next to Kogoro Mori and his daughter Ransolves complex cases while searching for the group responsible for his transformation.

In addition to the YouTube campaign, TMS has launched a special selection of episodes of anime on different platforms, titled “Conan vs. The Black Organization”which includes episodes never before available in the US, with Japanese dubbing and new English dubbing.

Beyond anime: records and premieres

The most recent feature film in the franchise, Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarineit premiered on July 5 in the US during Anime Expo, marking the arrival of the movie number 26. On the other hand, the movie 28titled Detective Conan: Sekigan no Flashbackdebuted in Japan on April 18occupying first place at the national box office.

The original manga, created by Gōshō Aoyamabegan its publication in Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 1994and to this day remains one of the pillars of the mystery and detective genre in the Japanese industry.
