Dr. STONE: SCIENCE FUTURE features Yuki Sakakihara as Joel


The television adaptation of Dr. STONE: SCIENCE FUTURE announced this summer the addition of a new character: Joela talented watchmaker who will be played by voice actor Yuki Sakakiharaknown for his role as Neil Clay Maywood in Secrets of the Silent Witch.

Joel is presented as a slim young man with short, wavy reddish-brown hair, green eyes, and two prominent strands sticking out. Dress in boots, dark pants, a long shirt and a work apron. He wears a jeweler's loupe on his head, highlighting his role as a meticulous craftsman within the series' universe. Among his expressions, his confident look, his superb attitude and moments of melancholy stand out, reflecting a complex and charismatic personality.

Chapter in the history of science

Dr. STONE: SCIENCE FUTURE continues to expand the universe created by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichiwhose manga was published by Shueisha in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022. The work has a total of 27 compilation volumes and is available in English thanks to VIZ Media.

The production of the anime is carried out by the studio TMS Entertainmentunder the direction of Shuhei Miyashita. The script is in charge of Kurasumi Sunayamathe character designs are the work of Yuko Iwasaand the soundtrack is composed by Tatsuya Kato, Hiroaki Tsutsumi and YUKI KANESAKA.

Humanity is reborn with science

The story follows Senku Ishigamia young science prodigy who awakens several millennia after a mysterious phenomenon that turned all of humanity into stone. Faced with a world completely petrified and without civilization, Senku decides rebuild society from scratch using only the power of scientific knowledge.

With his childhood friend Taiju Okiwho also manages to awaken, Senku begins a new era of discoveries and progress. From the Stone Age to the modern era, this survival and science adventure chronicles two million years of human evolution as never before told.
