It's not every day you get reincarnated in another world, and even less so as a dragon egg that must start its life from scratch. Today the first details of the anime have been revealed Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchlingbased on the Nekoko light novel with illustrations by Naji Yanagida, along with the teaser trailer, key image, and its planned release in 2026.
Creative and production team behind
The anime will be directed by Yuta Takemura (known for his work on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), with Nobuyoshi Arai as assistant director, under studies GA-CREW and FelixFilm. The series is composed by Tatsuhiko Urahata (Haganai), monster design by Hiroyasu Odaand character design by Masato Onoda. The sound direction is Tsuyoshi Takahashiwhile the music will be composed by Ko Otani (Shakugan no Shana), with production at IMAGINE.
A story of growth and improvement
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the official English version of both the RIO light novels and manga, and describes the plot like this: Our protagonist wakes up one day in a new world, but his new life does not include combat skills, magical powers, not even arms or legs. Reincarnated as a helpless egg trapped in an unknown forest and surrounded by hungry beasts, he must strive to become the most powerful dragon, without letting his fragile shell stop him.
