Through his Twitter account, the author Yuumikan reported that he has published the final chapter of the novel “BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense (Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu.)“, in the Shousetsuka ni Narou service, ending the work with 573 chapters. Although the original story is now complete, the print version (which is published through the Kadokawa publishing house and undergoes review by an editor) continues to be published as normal.
On Twitter, the author thanked fans for their support with the following message: «Bofuri has reached his conclusion. Thank you very much for all your support! I think that being able to reach a satisfactory ending was possible thanks to all of you. This happy and fun journey, which could only exist thanks to a series of miracles, I hope it was like that for you too.».
For its part, Yuumikan the publication of the story began through the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in May 2016 and completed it in February 2025, while the publisher Fujimi Shobo publishes it on paper with illustrations koin since September 2017.
