TV anime “SPY×FAMILY” Season 3 is being broadcast every Saturday at 23:00 on TV Tokyo network and other channels.
The TV anime “SPY×FAMILY” started in 2022, and Season 1 and Season 2 have been broadcast so far. It is a very popular work that has become a social phenomenon, with a theatrical animation released in 2023 and a musical even after that.
Isekai2nd has been conducting a series of interviews with the cast since the TV anime began broadcasting. In Season 3, it seems that unknown aspects of the characters that have not been talked about until now will appear.
MISSION:44 “Red Circus”, which was aired the other day, has a thrilling twist where Anya gets a busjacked and a bomb is attached to her neck! We spoke to Atsumi Tanezaki, who played Anya, Natsumi Fujiwara, who played Damien Desmond, and Emiri Kato, who played Becky Blackbell, who played a big role in MISSION:45, which aired on Saturday, November 22nd. Since this is a long interview, we will be posting the first and second parts for two weeks in a row, but this time it's the first part.
Changes in Damien x Anya x Becky
──We have been doing interviews since the TV anime “SPY×FAMILY” started broadcasting, but this is the first time that Mr. Fujiwara, who plays Damian, has appeared. Please tell us about the character Damien.
Natsumi Fujiwara (hereinafter referred to as Fujiwara) who plays Damian Desmond:At first, my impression was, “What a bad boy this kid is!” However, as the episodes went on, I became more and more attracted to his manliness and honest personality, and I started thinking that I wanted to make him even more appealing when it came to acting. Now, I feel that Damian is a boy who gets better the more he tries.
When it comes to Anya, I'm kind of worried about her, but I want to prioritize my own grades and myself, and I'm dealing with all kinds of conflicts. Even so, there's a part of me that still cares about Anya, and I think, “She's really nice. She's cool.''

Atsumi Tanezaki (hereinafter referred to as Tanezaki) who plays Anya Forger:This has always been the case, but since Season 3, Damian's boiling point has been lower, or rather, his reactions have been faster. I don't have to put a cushion on her like before, and I feel like she's now able to react instantly to Anya's words and actions.
Emiri Kato (hereinafter referred to as Kato) who plays Becky Blackbell:It's true that I've become more emotional than before.
Fujiwara:Maybe so. I feel like I'm stuck with it all the time.
Kato:Isn't it because I have started to feel a lot of shame and feelings towards Anya due to my own clumsiness?
Tanezaki:I guess it's because the stories in Season 3 happen to be about things that don't usually happen, like Aunt Tonito and the busjacking, and it's easy to get emotional.

Kato:In Season 3, a lot of things about Damien's family come out. Now that I understand Damian's position in the family, I feel like I've started to empathize with him in a different way than before. Up until now, I've always had the impression that Damien is a shy boy because he's the son of a great man, but now that I know about his family environment, I can really see that he's doing his best.
Fujiwara:As the only son of the family.
Kato:It's cute how much she wants to be recognized, and I want to be nice to her.
Fujiwara:The way he feels about his father, the way he feels about his mother, and the same goes for his brother, are really revealed in Season 3.
Tanezaki:The mother's character is also very strong.
Kato, Fujiwara:It's dark~

──I'm curious about the relationship between Damian and Anya, and Becky's relationship with them.
Kato:Becky is completely convinced that Anya is in love with Damian.
Fujiwara:It's true that you're giving me a lot of support.
Kato:There was a girl at school who did that and supported her friend's love life (lol).
Fujiwara:There I was (lol).
Kato:It's fun to play a girl who likes to give advice, and I think the relationship between the three of them is interesting, even though they don't really mesh well with each other.
Tanezaki:The way she cheers is by saying “Anya-chan!” out loud, so everyone can hear everything.
Fujiwara:Certainly (laughs).
Kato:Don't sneak around, it's a big soliloquy. I think people around me misunderstand me quite a bit (lol).
All:(lol).
